Has anyone ever stayed a a KOA camp site? Assuming the answer is Yes Please share your expierience. This Past Canada Day weekend 2006, My family and I had a family reunion at the KOA located on the other side of Brockville, (Going East) In Mallory Town. We chose this location to accomadate for everyone and there driving times. LOL what a time - The family part was great- We made the Best of our stay. However just to give you all an idea of what a fantastic facility this was.. To start off, when we got there. The owner her self attempted to assist us with paying for the sites.. etc.. We had to Pay for three nights when we were only there for 2. She was rude, assumed that her employees had set our expectations correctly prior to entering the main office. (With reference to where we were going and what certain stickers were to place in our vehicels etc...) Get to the site there was no water for us, Every other site had a water outlet on there site. (Not us) The Washroom Facility WOW.. What a treat .. lol YUCK.. there were 4 toilet stalls in each men and woman ' s bathroom. So basically 8 toilets for almost 2000 people. So emagine how tidy these places were. Yeah not so much! Washroom cleaning time was during the following times. Womans, 11am- 12pm Mens 12pm-1 pm Right at lunch time dureing the day- one of the busyiest times of the day, the only time these washrooms are cleaned. The camp site in most spots actually flooded - Prob 2-3 iches worth in those who were camping in a tent. (Fortunately I was in a cabin.. ) Unfortunatly- some of my family members were not. Canada Day Fire works. Yeah they are not any better the the site of the washrooms, lol - Bottom line I guess, is that we as a family were disrespected from all staff. - No customer service at all. Both Husband and wife (Owners) did nothing to make us want to come back. They as well as all the staff were rude. - My entire family that attended this reunion (20-25 people or so, will all be emailing KOA, To advise them of the above as well as much more that had happend with reference to our stay. I guarentee that myself as well as the rest of my family- Will NEVER attend that KOA site again. Worst facility I have ever been to. Once again Just my personal Opinion. Read More...
